A conference on the ’Safety and Security Related Applications of UAVs in the Home Affairs Sector" was held in the Marble Hall in the Ministry for Home Affairs. The conference was part of the Hungarian Science Day programme. The patron of the event was Sándor Pintér, Minister of Home Affairs.

Three ARNL researchers - Bálint Vanek, Péter Bauer and András Majdik – were among the presenters at the event. Bálint Vanek spoke about the high precision remote sensing applications of UAVs, Péter Bauer about assisting first response units with UAVs, and András Majdik on detection and tracking of small aircraft.
