Discovery’s series Made In with Csaba Gyetván visited HUN-REN SZTAKI’s Systems and Control Laboratory (SCL) to showcase the developments related to autonomous systems taking place there. The solutions presented are capable of predicting dangerous situations, adapting to changes in the environment, and operating safely and reliably even in real, complex conditions.

The programme discusses the cooperation of autonomous drone fleets, which are capable of transporting packages from moving vehicle to moving vehicle with centimeter precision, vehicles developed with reinforcement learning that plan their own routes, and how simulations and augmented reality aid development.

The episode also covers artificial intelligence-based vehicle control and testing supported by VR/AR/MR technologies. During filming, a model car trained with reinforcement learning also competed with Csaba Gyetván.
