The operation of a main components of a central perception system -- developed for road traffic control and traffic safety applications -- was demonstrated live at ITS World Congress for participants coming mainly from the industrial sector. ITS World Congress is the most important annual exhibition and conference in the field of smart mobility and the digitalisation of transport.
The successful demonstration presented the results of a joint effort taken by the Automated Drive Laboratory at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Automated Systems National Laboratory (ARNL), ZalaZone Automotive Proving Ground and the Hungarian Public Roads. The demonstrated components and functions included the sensors that are used for perception, the sensor fusion and the generation of digital twin.
