SZTAKI researchers also participated at the 35th National Scientific Student Conference (OTDK), and at the 2020 Scientific Student Conferences (TDK), from which several awards were taken.

​​​​​​​The Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory and the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems participated at the exhibition of the MI Coalition in June, where demonstrations and projects were presented to the general public.

Bálint Vanek, PhD, Deputy Head of the SZTAKI System and Control Theory Research Laboratory, lead researcher of the Autonomous Aerial Vehicles application area of the National Laboratory of Autonomous Systems (NLAS) also gave a presentation at the online event Budapest Science Meetup.

The demonstration entitled "Wireless communication of self-driving go-carts and traffic control equipment", held by BME staff and scholarship students, was successful.

Members of the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems (ARNL) participated in the Professional Day organized by the Artificial Intelligence Coalition on June 15, and in the Exhibition for the general public on June 16. The developments of SZTAKI, BME and Széchenyi University were presented at the event, which was held at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

The consortium partners of the National Laboratory of Autonomous Systems (SZTAKI, BME, SZE) presented their main research and development plans implemented in the project within the framework of the on-line conference. The event was opened by the Deputy Chairman of National Office for Research, Development and Innovation (NKFIH).

MDPI Aerospace awarded SZTAKI Systems and Control Lab researcher Tamás Luspay’s publication with its Best Paper Award for 2019. Structured Control Design for a Highly Flexible Flutter Demonstrator was co-written by Luspay, DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt) engineer Manuel Pusch and Munich University of Applied Sciences professor Daniel Ossmann.

Dr. László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology, announced the foundation of 18 National Laboratories at a press conference at the University of Pécs, Hungary.
