Dr. Péter Bauer and Gábor Jevuczó from the HUN-REN SZTAKI Systems and Control Lab presented their research results achieved in the framework of the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory.

The research was introduced to viewers by Dr. Péter Bauer, project leader at Széchenyi University, senior research fellow at HUN-REN SZTAKI, and researcher at the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems, along with Dr. Antal Hiba, lead researcher at Széchenyi University, research fellow at HUN-REN SZTAKI, and researcher at the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems.

Researchers at the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) have already raced their RC car in Japan, but at the event on 9 November 2024, the forces between machine and human were also measured in Budapest.

Les Johnson, Chief Technologist at NASA's George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, gave a lecture entitled "Solar Sail Propulsion For Exploring the Solar System" at HUN-REN SZTAKI on 24 October 2024 at the invitation of Balázs Németh, lead researcher at ARNL.

As in previous years, researchers of the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) held a spectacular career orientation demonstration on 28 September 2024 in Budapest in the framework of the Ráday Days, the largest meeting of the Danubian Reformed Church District.

On 13 September 2024, Csanád Gyula Budai and Tamás Széles, researchers of the Systems and Control Laboratory at HUN-REN SZTAKI, talked about their small-scale autonomous racing car in the Trend Idők (Trend Times) programme of Kossuth Radio.

Csanád Budai and Tamás Széles, developers of the Systems and Control Laboratory at HUN-REN SZTAKI, competed in Yokohama, Japan at the fifteenth F1TENTH Autonomous Grand Prix, held in the framework of the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2024) between 13 and 17 May 2024.

This year, for the second time, the international Student Scientific Competition (SSC) was organised. The competition followed the Hungarian model of the Scientific Student Conference (TDK), which has a history of success spanning over several decades. At SSC, students from the EELISA partner universities matched their knowledge with that of the other contestants, and presented the results of their research projects.

Young European experts in data-driven system modelling met on 23-24 May 2024 at HUN-REN SZTAKI to review and discuss the prevailing scientific trends in the field of system identification and machine learning.
