Tamás Péni, PhD

Lead researcher
Institute for Computer Science and Control

Senior researcher at NLAS.

______

Senior researcher at the SZTAKI Systems and Control Laboratory.

External employee of the Department of Transport and Vehicle Control of the Faculty of Transport and Vehicle Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and a member of the Scientific Committee on Automation and Computer Science.

He obtained his PhD degree in 2009 at the BME Doctoral School of Informatics.

He has been an employee of SZTAKI since 1999. He is currently working on the development of learning-based procedures that provide a guarantee of stability and robustness and adhere to the operation of a managed system with prescribed security restrictions. The methods are used in designed industrial applications and intelligent robot systems.

Research areas:

  • analysis and control of nonlinear and linear variable parameter dynamic systems, including robust and designing predictive regulations that adhere to restrictions
  • adaptive control methods based on machine learning
  • reduction of dynamic system models
  • error detection in dynamic systems
  • analysis and control of systems with linear variable parameters
  • numerical methods
