On 23 March 2022, the Ministry of Information and Technology and the Hungarian Embassy in Berlin presented the national laboratories, including the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) and the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB), coordinated by SZTAKI, to the German public.
The event "Presentation of National Laboratories" took place in Berlin. The first presentation was given by Tibor Gulyás, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Technology, on "National Laboratories in the Hungarian Innovation Ecosystem". Afterwards, the heads of each national laboratory presented their organisations. From SZTAKI, Prof. Dr. Péter Gáspár, head of the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems and Dr. András Benczúr, science coordinator of the National Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence presented their labs’ activities to the German scientific audience.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus, only 30 people were able to attend the event on site, while nearly 80 people followed the event online in the form of a pre-broadcast, which had a total of about 110 participants.
