József Váncza, Head of the Research Laboratory for Engineering and Business Intelligence at HUN-REN SZTAKI, and leading researcher in autonomous robotics and manufacturing systems at ARNL, gave a plenary talk as an invited speaker at IMCC 2023, a major international scientific event.
The conference, which was the first in-person forum for Chinese manufacturing researchers and experts since the pandemic, was held in Chongqing, China in November 2023. The large-scale event had around 800 participants. In his presentation entitled "The key role of digital twin in autonomous manufacturing", Dr. Váncza reported also on ARNL results in the field.
IMCC 2023 had an additional Hungarian aspect: two further plenary talks rendered topics in which HUN-REN SZTAKI Director László Monostori - in the frame of international scientific collaborations - was actively involved. The first of these talks dealt with the synergies of biology, engineering and informatics in relation to certain manufacturing processes, while the second covered the topic of platform-based manufacturing.
