As a partner of the Hungarian Public Roads Nonprofit Ltd, the Automated Drive Lab of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) could participate as an exhibitor in the programme of the 2023 ITS Europe Congress.
The congress, held in Lisbon from 22 to 25 May 2023, was attended by industry leaders, researchers and developers, as well as ministers and city officials. The number of exhibitors reached 80.
At the Hungarian stand of ITS Europe, visitors had the opportunity to drive a road vehicle located on the ZalaZONE test track in Hungary from the Portuguese capital, i.e., from a considerable distance. The environment sensing carried out by the road vehicle relied on algorithms developed in the frame of ARNL.
More details about the technical demonstration and about the congress itself can be found on the BME Automated Drive website and the ITS Europe congress website, respectively.
