As in previous years, researchers of the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) held a spectacular career orientation demonstration on 28 September 2024 in Budapest in the framework of the Ráday Days, the largest meeting of the Danubian Reformed Church District. The event was attended by nearly 120 high school students from Budapest and the surrounding area, who had the chance test their skills in a creative cooperative task.
The participants had to solve an exciting task: they had to build the path of the F1TENTH small-scale race car as self-driving vehicle as quickly and accurately as possible, in order to bring it safely to the finish line. The teams competed in a tight race to test their skills and abilities, while learning about the operation and challenges of self-driving vehicles. The event provided a unique opportunity for young people to explore their interest in a career in the engineering field and get a glimpse into the world of autonomous systems. The ARNL remains committed to promoting education and technology, and the researchers are confident that the event will contribute to the education of future experts in autonomous technology.
