Applied infrastructure

Széchenyi Plusz RRF

The full construction, maintenance and constant modernization of the infrastructure belonging to the National Laboratory, independent of other organizations and building on existing equipment and technologies, is a basic need.

In the project, we will build an experimental road vehicle platform, the central element of which is an attractive mid-range electric vehicle equipped with a sensor and control system. Tasks of the vehicle platform: collection of vehicle and environmental data on public roads, design and execution of experiments on test track and road, demonstration of functions on test track and road without intervention. With this system, we can enter the development areas of autonomous vehicle control without delay and respond directly to innovation needs.

In addition, we will build up an autonomous experimental vehicle laboratory in which quadcopters, model cars, and mobile robots would work together to solve a variety of complex tasks. The laboratory is suitable for examining, experimenting and analyzing the results of our system and control theory research. The lab is able to quickly adapt and test in a relevant environment the control, trajectory design, sensor fusion, and cooperative problem-solving algorithms developed by researchers.

Thanks to industrial digitization and increasing automation, large amounts of data are constantly being generated and accumulated. Because of the wide range of structural and type variations in the data to be analyzed, exploring the topology of the datasets is as important a step as the analysis itself.
