Sensor and actuator fault detection

Széchenyi Plusz RRF

The goal of this subproject is to explore system parameter estimation, identification and fault detection possibilities requiring possibly no or minimal hardware investment. Industrially relevant topics are targeted to help future exploitation.

Minimization of the effect of faults and the provision of safe operation is an important topic in vehicle control.  By the increasing complexity of the systems accurate fault detection and estimation become more and more important to support mitigation strategies such as control reconfiguration. At the same time it is advantageous to solve system monitoring with minimal hardware investment to make systems more economic and reliable (possibly no new hardware element added).
