An ARNL researcher has written a book on the probability-based modelling and solutions to problems in environment perception
The book "Multi-Level Bayesian Models for Environment Perception" by Csaba Benedek, research advisor of SZTAKI's Machine Perception Research Laboratory, discusses the Bayesian parameter estimation models for environment perception in seven chapters.

ARNL researchers win the Michelberger Master Prize
The winner of the second edition of the competition is Dr. Tamás Tettamanti, associate professor, who created his results and research plan in the field of road traffic simulation modelling and traffic light control with the support of his master, Dr. István Varga, professor, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, dean of the Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering of the BME.

The University of Győr further enhances its scientific and industrial cooperations
Széchenyi István University, with the support of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, has entered into a forward-looking cooperation with Audi Hungaria Zrt. and the University of Szeged. The joint innovation projects will focus on research and validation of alternative fuels, exploring the industrial potential of hydrogen and reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

On 23 March 2022, the Ministry of Information and Technology and the Hungarian Embassy in Berlin presented the national laboratories, including the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory (ARNL) and the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB), coordinated by SZTAKI, to the German public.

Test of safety critical electronics on redundant experimental aircraft
On 28th March 2022. safety critical electronics was tested by researchers of SZTAKI on-board the Sindy experimental aircraft with the support of Aero Média Ltd.. The aircraft is operated in frame of the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory.

Further testing facilities of the ZalaZone Automotive Proving Ground are now operational
On 28 March 2022, the 265-hectare ZalaZone automotive test track, a HUF 45 billion development, was officially opened. At the opening ceremony, visitors could view a joint demonstration of autonomous vehicles presented by the consortium members of the NLAS.

Researchers at the Department of Control for Transportation and Vehicle Systems of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics gave a live demonstration on how self-driving go-karts and a traffic control unit can communicate and cooperate via wireless connection.
