Just a week after the spring season opening flight, Széchenyi University (SZE) and SZTAKI staff held a live technical demonstration.

Tamás Baár defended his PhD thesis at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) on 31 March 2023 with a 100% mark. The results presented in his thesis are related to several ARNL research topics.

The first 2023 flight associated with the ground vehicle-drone cooperative control topic was organized for 22nd March. The two main goals of the test were a) to brush up pilot and handling crew skills, and b) test the wireless diagnostic system, which will be also used in the FliPASED EU H2020 research project.

At the public habilitation lectures organized by the Kandó Kálmán Doctoral School of BME on 21 March 2023, Balázs Németh received a 100% evaluation from the Committee.

According to the citation, the award was given in recognition of his outstanding scientific, science management, leadership, community-building and mentoring work as the professional leader of the research centre, which plays a key role in the development of alternative propulsion and self-driving vehicles.

Among others, Tamás Bécsi, researcher active in the ARNL, received a high state award on the occasion of the national holiday of 15 March 2023.

The science and technology programme „KiberMa” of the national TV channel was recording at the AI & AUT EXPO co-organised by ARNL.

The hydrogen-fueled drone is one of the first few fuel-cell flying devices in Hungary.
