The Vehicle Industry Research Center (VIRC) of the University of Győr presented its latest developments at the Innovation Exhibition and Invention Fair. The university is part of the ARNL consortium.

In the Innovation and Demo Space (IDS), some of SZTAKI’s most recent research and development results were presented and demonstrated.

On 21 April 2022, the Industry 4.0 professional day, also supported by SZTAKI, was held on the campus of Széchenyi István University of Győr as a workshop for ARNL.

Dr. J. Váncza, the Head of the Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence at SZTAKI and a leading figure oft the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory, was awarded the International Dennis Gabor Award – named after the Hungarian-born Nobel laureate Dennis Gabor – at the end of last year, but received the prize only in May this year due to earlier restrictions and measures related to COVID-19.

The book "Multi-Level Bayesian Models for Environment Perception" by Csaba Benedek, research advisor of SZTAKI's Machine Perception Research Laboratory, discusses the Bayesian parameter estimation models for environment perception in seven chapters.

The winner of the second edition of the competition is Dr. Tamás Tettamanti, associate professor, who created his results and research plan in the field of road traffic simulation modelling and traffic light control with the support of his master, Dr. István Varga, professor, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, dean of the Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering of the BME.
